Investments are made in projects and companies that counteract the effects of climate change by reducing the greenhouse effect. This contributes to a successful energy transition. The emphasis is on energy efficiency and savings (for example LED), energy infrastructure (energy storage and local smart networks) and production of renewable energy (for example tidal energy).
There is a focus on the industrial sector (for example heat recovery, efficient boilers, electrification), the agricultural sector (biomass energy generation and waste reuse) as well as the transport and construction sector (heat networks).
Preconditions for investing include:
- Proven technologies with up-scaling potential
- Transactions with an average size of € 5-15 million
- Regional focus: Europe (and in particular the Netherlands)
ACTIAM supports investors by carrying out labor-intensive, fragmented project investments (deal sourcing), monitoring and reporting. Sourcing is done in close collaboration with selected, local partners and a strong internal network.
This strategy gives investors access to a new market with a high growth potential. By investing in the European energy transition, you realize a clear impact and you actively contribute to the realization of the United Nations sustainable development goals (Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs).
