Excellent PRI score for ACTIAM31 July 2020 , Maximum score in all 14 elements
ACTIAM has again achieved high scores for sustainable investing from Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). The PRI conducts on an annual basis an assessment of the implementation of the investment policy of asset managers to stimulate responsible investments. This year, ACTIAM achieved the highest achievable score (A +) in all of the 14 modules.
Dennis van der Putten, Director Sustainability & Corporate Strategy at ACTIAM: “We are proud of these scores, it confirms our leading position in sustainable investing. The result also helps to further build on our ambition. By continuously raising the bar, we optimize both financial and social returns. We focus on what is financial material. Which companies have major financial risks due to developments such as climate change, water consumption, human capital and scarcity of raw materials? Not only the insight that the PRI offers, but also the knowledge transformation and cooperation among PRI signatories helps in implementation the Paris Climate Agreement and realizing the Sustainable Development Goals. ”
The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. The PRI is truly independent and acts in the long-term interests of its signatories, of the financial markets and economies in which they operate and ultimately of the environment and society as a whole.
