Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare (BBFAW)
This Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare (BBFAW) is the leading global measure of farm animal welfare management, policy commitment, performance and disclosure in food companies. ACTIAM joined this investor collaboration to share expertise, to work effectively with other investors, and to support wider investor efforts around animal welfare.
Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs a global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impact. Via CDP, ACTIAM carries out engagements to stimulate companies to disclose their impact.
Ceres Water Hub (Ceres)
The Water Hub is part of the Ceres Investor Network on Climate Risk and Sustainability. The Ceres Water Hub is a working group focusing on the integration of water risks in investment portfolios. In collaboration with Ceres, ACTIAM launched a water toolkit for investors: the first toolkit for the management of water risks in investment portfolios.
DNB Platform for Sustainable Financing
ACTIAM participates actively in three of the six working groups within the Platform for Sustainable Financing: Working Group Climate Risks; Working Group SDG Impact Measurements; Working Group Platform Carbon Accounting Financials.
Dutch Fund and Asset Management Association (DUFAS)
ACTIAM is a member of DUFAS, the Dutch Fund and Asset Management Association; the collective interest association for asset managers and investment institutions working in the Netherlands, both in the retail and in the institutional branches.
DWM
As a fund management company, ACTIAM cooperates with DWM (Developing World Markets) in the role of investment advisor in the ACTIAM Financial Inclusion Fund, with the objective to improve the access to financial products and services for entrepreneurs in developing countries.
Energy efficient Mortgages Action Plan (EeMAP)
ACTIAM is member of EeMAP, a market-led initiative focussed on the design and delivery of an "energy efficient mortgage", which is intended to incentivise and channel private capital into energy efficiency investments.
Equileap
Equileap is an independent, specialized data provider with a broad scope of gender metrics. They enable ACTIAM to make better investment decisions with data on equality in the workplace.
EU Community of Practice Finance @ Biodiversity
This working group of European financial institutions shares experiences with regard to the integration of biodiversity in investment decisions. Additionally, the working group aims to identify and overcome challenges, such as making dependency and impact on biodiversity measurable. ACTIAM is a member of the Finance working group and is represented in the advisory board.

Eumedion represents the interests of institutional investors in the Netherlands and acts as a forum for corporate governance and sustainability.
Fair Water Footptint Declaration
The Glasgow Declaration for Fair Water Footprints for climate-resilient, inclusive and sustainable development was officially signed on 5th November 2021 at COP 26. The declaration commits constituencies to take siginficant and measurable actions over the next decade. ACTIAM is a signatory.
Farm Animal Investment Risk & Return (FAIRR)
Farm Animal Investment Risk & Return puts animal welfare on the ESG agenda and its goal is to raise awareness for the material impact of animal welfare issues on portfolios.
Financial Inclusion Improves Sanitation and Health (FINISH)
ACTIAM was the co-initiator of FINISH (Financial Inclusion Improves Sanitation and Health) in India in 2008. We use our expertise in microfinancing to support FINISH to gain access to healthcare and sanitary facilities. The local financing of FINISH amounts to over €100 million by now, of which €50 million comes from microfinancing.
FMO
As a fund manager, ACTIAM collaborates with FMO (Dutch Development Bank), taking on the role of investment advisor in the ACTIAM-FMO SME Finance Fund, with the objective to improve the access to SME credits in developing countries.
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
ACTIAM forms a partnership with the Forest Stewardship Council to jointly take steps in the area of knowledge development and tools in the battle against deforestation.
Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN)
The GIIN is committed to increasing the scale and effectiveness of impact investments. ACTIAM has been an active member of the GIIN since its launch and was a member of the Investor Council until 2017.
Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB)
GRESB is globally involved in the sustainability performances of real estate portfolios. Institutional investors can use this benchmark for, amongst other things, their engagement activities.
Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) sets guidelines for sustainability reporting. ACTIAM takes part in the working group for the Water reporting standard review.
Green Praxis
Green Praxis aims to maximise environmental and economic benefits through sustainable vegetation management and nature-based solutions and is involved in the study of flora and fauna using bioacoustics. ACTIAM has partnered with Green Praxis to improve the measurement of the biodiversity impacts of its investments.
IDH: The Sustainable Trade Initiative
IDH, The Sustainable Trade Initiative works with businesses, financiers, governments, and civil society to realize sustainble trade in global value chains. ACTIAM works with the IDH on its Palm Oil program and uses knowledge gained in its engagement with investee companies.
Impact Institute
The Impact Institute provides organizations with tools, data, trainings and services to measure, report and manage impact. ACTIAM has worked with the Impact Institute on better understanding the impacts of its global investment portfolios on biodiversity and underpayment.
International Capital Market Association (ICMA)
ICMA serves as Secretariat to the Green Bond Principles (GBP), the Social Bond Principles (SBP), the Sustainability Bond Guidelines (SBG) and the Sustainability-Linked Bond Principles (SLBP), providing support while advising on governance and other issues.
Investor Alliance for Human Rights, Part of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility
The Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) is a shareholder advocacy group working to encourage company progress on environmental, social and governance issues. ACTIAM is involved in the Human Rights program area.
Natural Capital Finance Alliance (NCFA)
ACTIAM is a signatory party of the Natural Capital Declaration of the Natural Capital Finance Alliance. The objective of this initiative is to ensure that the sector also takes natural capital into account with respect to loans, shares, fixed-interest securities and insurance products.
Netherlands Advisory Board on impact investing (NAB)
The NAB is an independent, non-profit organisation that aims to accelerate the growth and improve the effectiveness of the impact investing market. It does so by raising awareness of, addressing barriers to, and increasing confidence in investing with impact.
Platform Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF)
ACTIAM participates in PCAF since its launch in 2015 and is a member of the DNB Working Group Platform Carbon Accounting Financials as well as of the DNB Working Group SDG Impact Measurement. Within PCAF, ACTIAM cooperates in the development and improvement of an open-source methodology for the measurement of the CO2 footprint of investments and loans.
Platform for the Living Wage Financials
The Platform Living Wage Financials (PLWF) is an alliance of 19 financial institutions that encourages and monitors investee companies to address the non-payment of living wage in global supply chains. ACTIAM is a member of the Garment working group.
Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
ACTIAM underwrites the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) of the United Nations and has been an active member since its launch in 2006.
Satelligence
ACTIAM partnered with Satelligence, using latest radar satellite imagery, advanced machine learning and data analytics to detect forest cover changes.
Science Based Targets (SBTi)
The SBTi focuses on meeting the climate goals established in the Paris Climate Agreement. The SBTi collaborates with other parties, including ACTIAM, to stay well below the 2˚C global warming.
ShareAction
ShareAction works with investors to define standards for responsible investment and engagement, with the aim of elevating standards and adoption. ACTIAM takes part in the Good Work Coalition and Healthy Markets Initiative.
SMART Campaign
The SMART Campaign is the initiator of the Client Protection Principles (CPP) and an important organ within the microcredit industry. Within the SMART Campaign, ACTIAM cooperates with partners to develop a code of conduct for the microfinancing sector and the establishment of standards for a more transparent and effective impact investing.
Social Performance Taskforce (SPTF)
The SPTF is a global network that wants to promote social performance management (SPM) worldwide. ACTIAM is a member of the SPTF and part of the Social Investor Working Group.

Sustainalytics offers screening and active ownership services that help investors with the integration of ESG factors in the investment decision-making process.
Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB)
The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) is an independent, private-sector body that develops and approves IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (IFRS SDS). The ISSB operates under the oversight of the IFRS Foundation.
Dutch Association of Insurers (VVV)
ACTIAM supports the clients of its parent company with regard to the compliance with the Sustainable Investment Code as established by the Dutch Association of Insurers. Furthermore, ACTIAM is involved in the preparation of IRBC agreements (International Responsible Business Conduct).
Dutch Association of Investors for Sustainable Development (VBDO)
The VBDO is the association of investors in the Netherlands that specifically focuses on a sustainable society. Its objective is to protect the interests of institutional and private investors who want to contribute to sustainable developments.
